The Commission on Domestic Violence
Breaking the Cycle of Violence
Awareness Campaign
At Communiqué, we took on the significant responsibility of spearheading the EU-funded project titled ‘Breaking the Cycle of Violence Against Women Campaign.’ Our involvement included creating the campaign logo and designing three distinct leaflets, which were translated into seven different languages. Recognising that women affected by domestic violence came from diverse linguistic backgrounds, the 179 helpline awareness campaign expanded its reach to include Italian, French, German, Serbian, and Filipino messages.
Driven by our commitment to corporate social responsibility, we also collaborated with the Commission on Gender Based Violence & Domestic Violence. Amidst the stay-at-home scenario brought on by COVID-19, we launched an additional campaign aimed at addressing the alarming rise of domestic violence within local families. Through empowering visuals, we conveyed support for victims and urged perpetrators to end the cycle of violence.
Our comprehensive campaign spanned bus shelter posters across the island and prominent online news portals, all focused on promoting the availability of the 179 helpline. We extend our gratitude to the dedicated team at the Commission on Gender Based Violence & Domestic Violence for their invaluable partnership in encouraging victims to seek support and ensuring they receive the necessary assistance to overcome their predicament.
