The eBiznify program, launched by the Malta Communications Authority (MCA), is a free and fully accredited online e-commerce training initiative aimed at equipping both entrepreneurs and individuals with the skills needed to thrive in digital commerce. With modules covering topics like promoting an online business, cross-border e-commerce, and data analytics, it empowers participants to compete in today’s global marketplace.

Logo Design

Communiqué was assigned the task of providing a branding and communications strategy for this project. Our first challenge was to create a brand name and logo, and following extensive research the name ‘eBiznify’ was proposed, approved and subsequently launched. To accompany the brand name we also created a slogan: Learn. Build. Sell. The approved logo features the ‘e’ which represents ecommerce, and the name ‘Biznify’, a combination of words that implies doing business in a simplified way, together with a stylised ‘y’ shaped like an online shopping cart, emphasizing the online and ecommerce scope of the programme.

Objectives

The client laid out various objectives which had to be met through an eventual communications strategy, and Communiqué was responsible for planning, designing and implementing the marketing communications campaign throughout the lifecycle of the project. A study on the best possible use of existing channels and other developing media was conducted. A marketing strategy to optimise results was outlined in the initial phase.

The Campaign

Communiqué was responsible for the design of the artwork, audio-visual productions and other related material. Animated and static web banners, print adverts, two promotional videos and adverts for TV, leaflets, a stand-alone backdrop, a roll up banner and training certificates were all produced for this campaign. An information day was organised by Communiqué to launch eBiznify, during which MCA gave prospective applicants the opportunity to enrol for the training programme.

Our role was to organise and coordinate the PR, the sending out of invites, following up on attendance, inviting the press and drafting a press release, as well as producing cut-out video edits and photography for the press. The MCA also requested innovative and creative designs targeting the intended audience. The design concepts developed in such a way as to be easily applied across all media channels, including TV, radio and social media.

MCA requested that the designs be innovative and creative, ensuring they suit the intended audience. Communiqué developed design concepts that could easily apply across all media channels, including TV, radio, and social media. After the first group of applicants successfully completed the training program, Communiqué organized a certificate awards ceremony. They managed all PR and event-related services for the event.
