The MAPFRE Middlesea discount card facility to all of its customers was developed into an app with quick access to all of its advantages and exclusive offers.
With the app, customers could access all the outlets by category or location, get notifications about the outlets offering discounts in the area using geo location, and redeem discounts in a simple manner.
The Concept
The project revolved about creating a voucher application, which allows a user to redeem vouchers on a daily basis. The Application is GPS aware, sending a notification message to the user with selected spots offering vouchers in the vicinity. The feature works if the user has the GPS facility enabled on their mobile device.
Overview
The voucher application which was implemented will allow the user to redeem vouchers on a daily basis. The application is GPS aware and notifications will prompt the users with a message offering vouchers in the vicinity. The GPS facility has to be enabled on the mobiles for this feature to work. Users will be able to search for vouchers and discounts by locality and brand.
App Design
The mobile application was implemented using the Xamarin Framework. The App supports both android and ios platforms. The mobile application stores a cache of the depiction of the database, a synchronisation mechanism is based on the projected suppliers and vouchers. The images are streamed from the backend to keep the app light.
