The Concept

The company introduced a new way on how we can purchase and consume water and stop wasting money on expensive bottled water. It is also an incentive to stop polluting the environment by creating more and more plastic waste whilst also being a smarter way of drinking water.

Vending machine

The design was adapted to the size and shape of the vending machine. A focus on the bubbles symbolises the clear clean water with an emphases on the ‘low’ price. Since by the refilling of existing bottles less plastic is used, we incorporated the green colour, and leaves to give it a positive feel towards the environment. In the design you can also find the advantages of using the machine with fresh, cold and pure features on all sides of the machine in red, highlighting this to the users.

New Website

A new website site was launched incorporating the branding, colours and overall image of the company together with the setup, information about the service and general aspects about the plastic pollution. Instructions on how to use the machines, plus the certification of the water and where the machines are in the Maltese islands.

Animated Ad

A map of Malta showing all the towns where the vending machines were placed highlighting the price and “Fresh, Cold, Pure” was uploaded to Facebook as an animated ad.

Social Media

Communiqué was responsible to set up the accounts on Instagram and Facebook and consequently Communiqué handles the overall social media management. We prepare content for posts not only product specific details but on other topics such as plastic pollution, daily consumption of water, quotes, general recommendations, and other typical post content related to drinking water. The marketing campaign on social media including Facebook, Instagram and Google Ads were heavy on acquiring new likes and engagement.

Leaflets, business cards, and roll-ups

A two-fold leaflet was produced with the main details of the service, the convenient price, and the machines’ locations. This was distributed door to door in localities closest to the vending machines.

Business cards and roll-ups designed on the same concept, the business cards, and rollup banners reflect the branding design of WaterPoint.
